Barbara Treadwell of Treadwell Associates to Speak at Buy Local Savannah Business Lecture Series
SAVANNAH, GA – Buy Local Savannah is proud to welcome Barbara Treadwell, Treadwell Associates, to speak at the first Business Lecture Series of 2006 taking place at The Pirates House on February 23rd at noon.
Ms. Treadwell will speak on the topic of “How to Break into the Savannah Business Community,” a topic she immersed herself in after establishing a satellite office of her New York-based business in Savannah. Her company, Treadwell Associates, assists people with their personal finances and estate engineering using a unique approach called the LEAP System. “We are excited to have Barbara speak to our group,” states Joe Ippolito, Buy Local Savannah President, “Listening to her talk about her experience on the subject will be invaluable to our membership.”
Prior to her twenty-year career in the financial arena, Barbara Treadwell worked for fifteen years in psychological services counseling terminally ill patients and their families in Mobile, Alabama. Upon witnessing what can happen to families who have not had sound financial advice, she began her second career as a financial services professional.
Since 1980, Ms. Treadwell has lived and worked in New York City helping people create, distribute and conserve wealth. She is a leading marketer of financial products, a frequent industry speaker, and is published on topics ranging from estate analysis to business succession strategies. In an effort to broaden her horizons, she purchased a home in the historic district of Savannah and has opened a satellite office there. She is an active member of Savannah Rotary East and Leadership Savannah.
Barbara is the mother of three children and grandmother of four. She is actively involved with charitable work for retarded persons, as well as mentoring an inner city high school student.
The lunch is $13 per person and includes lunch, drink, and tip. The event is open to the public. To RSVP or for more information please contact Joe Ippolito, President of Buy Local Savannah at 912.356.1140 x 113, joe@emarketsouth.com, or RSVP online at www.buylocalsavannah.com.
